Come! Make the Pilgrimage and Smell the Chocolate!
Seriously...there's nothing like it.

We hope you'll find the time to visit Alethea's ice cream parlour and candy shop. Our historic location on Main Street in Williamsville, New York, is sweet with the heady aroma of our fresh chocolate.
If you've ever visited a place where handmade chocolate is displayed as though it were fine jewelry, then you know there's no substitue for that experience.
Dean recently hosted a tour for Jane and Michael Stern, of Road Food fame. The couple tour the country in search of great food, and discuss their finds on American Public Radio's The Splendid Table. In their Jan 9, 2010 segment, they declared Buffalo as "probably the best city in the United States for hot fudge sundaes and chocolate candies." Particularly sponge candy.
The Sterns regarded our sponge candy as "the best," "of the dozen different places in [Buffalo] that make their own [sponge candy.]"
WOW!
They then advised their listeners to "make the pilgrimage" to Alethea's for "a perfectly made" hot fudge and marshmallow sundae with freshly roasted, crunchy, lightly salted nuts "that intensify the sweetness" that lies beneath.
We couldn't agree more.
So, whether your ultimate destination is the ice-cream parlour on the right or the chocolate shop on the left, make the pilgrimage (on your knees, if necessary) and choose from hundreds of handmade chocolate candies, dozens of freshly baked cakes and pastries, and (of course) candy that has been hand-crafted to exacting family standards for generations.
